Job summary

Pinch a Penny of Leesburg Florida is seeking a pool maintenance technician to help customers keep their pools clean and safe. You will perform maintenance, balance chemistry, and assist with questions in a friendly, professional manner.

This role requires knowledge of pool maintenance and repair, the ability to lift heavy equipment, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn and grow with the team in a family-owned store.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with pool chemicals, maintenance techniques and equipment.
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment and have good dexterity.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in harsh weather conditions.
• Must have a clean driving record and drive safely and courteously, obeying signs and driving rules.
• Must be able to work with paperwork and software management systems for pool service.
• Must have a great attitude and be willing to learn continually.
• Pool Service technicians must be able to communicate politely with clients and team members and complete all work in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum pool floors, steps, walls, tiles, pump baskets, and more
• Test pool water and balance the water chemistry based on those results
• Document pool issues and repair needs, and communicate the status of the equipment to both management and customers
• Install new underwater lights
• Use certified pool equipment to clean swimming pools and water filters
• Test pH levels for water quality and add or maintain chemicals levels
• Diagnose faulty equipment to determine if it needs to be fixed or replaced
• Instruct clients on best practices for maintaining their pool
