Job summary

Rentokil is seeking an Aquatic Technician to maintain ponds, lakes, pools, and water features. You will ensure water quality, operate and repair related equipment, and keep detailed maintenance records.

The role requires knowledge of aquatic biology and water chemistry, with 0-1 years’ experience preferred. A valid driver’s license and flexible hours may be needed. Full-time on-site position in Florida.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Degree in related science preferred.
• 0-1 years’ experience in an environmental related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance: water quality testing, filtration system maintenance, debris removal.
• Monitor and maintain water chemistry levels (pH, chlorine, alkalinity).
• Inspect and repair aquatic equipment (pumps, valves, heaters, circulation systems).
• Complete and maintain work orders up to date.
• Obtain required certifications/licenses within specified time.
• Identify regional aquatic plants and algae species.
• Follow safety SOPs with minimal incidents and timely incident reporting.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles.
• Inspect habitats for health and welfare of aquatic life; respond to issues.
