Job summary

Providence Health and Services is seeking a skilled Polysomnographer for part-time night shifts in Santa Rosa, CA. The role involves independently conducting sleep studies, applying recording devices, and monitoring recordings to ensure patient safety and high-quality data.

Qualifications

• California Polysom Technologist License (upon hire).
• National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, or
• National Certified Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 1 year of experience as a polysomnographic technologist; 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct polysomnographic testing under supervision.
• Monitor polygraph recordings and audio/visual equipment to ensure patient safety and test quality.
• Prepare patients and apply recording devices; explain procedures.
• Work independently while collaborating with the sleep team.

Education

Associate's degree in Polysomnography

Membership in Association of Polysomnographic Technologist (APT) or American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM)
