Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks a Sleep Lab Technician (PRN) at Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, SC. The role involves setting up polysomnography, applying sensors, and documenting sleep studies.

Reporting to the Medical Director or Cardiopulmonary Supervisor, you will compile data and support patient care throughout nocturnal and daytime studies. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, an AMA-approved sleep technology program, and BLS certification; licensure in SC or A-Step

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• AMA approved school for Respiratory Care, EEG, or related health sciences with emphasis in sleep technology.
• SC Respiratory Care Practitioner license required for RCPs; A-Step program required for non-RCPs.

Responsibilities

• Apply sensors and monitoring devices to patients per lab standards.
• Perform polysomnograms with CPAP/BiPAP titration as ordered.
• Gather comprehensive patient history and explain tests to family members.
• Document and analyze wake-sleep data; generate analysis summary.
• Assist in policy/procedure development for Sleep Laboratory.
