The Sleep Centers of Middle Tennessee has an immediate opening for a qualified Polysomnographic Technologist in Murfreesboro. The role requires BRPT scoring experience. Hours are 7pm–7am, up to three nights per week, with three patients scored per technologist each night.
Responsibilities include sleep study preparation, data acquisition, scoring of sleep stages and events, patient education, and adherence to HSAT/PSG protocols. Certification in sleep technology is required.

DETAILS:A Sleep (Polysomnographic) Technologist works under the general supervision of clinic physician(s) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in-center and HSAT testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patientcareand direct patient education. A sleep technologist can perform the duties definedfora sleep technician and may provide oversight of other sleep facility staff. The sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology.

Sleep Study Procedures
Follow procedural protocols [such as Polysomnography, Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP, oxygen titration, etc.] to ensure collection ofappropriate data.
Education and/or Experience
Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology; or
Successful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documentedproficiencyat all competenciesrequired ofa sleep technician.
AND
Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
