Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a polysomnographic technologist to perform patient testing and score records for sleep diagnostics. This role requires understanding of all sleep study procedures and collaboration with registered and non-registered PSGs, trainees, and students.

Education must meet AASM guidelines, with BRPT registry or registry eligibility preferred; BLS certification is encouraged and becomes mandatory after the provisional period.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma / GED is required.
• BRPT registry through BRPT or registry-eligible by meeting one of the AASM pathways.
• Certification of BLS preferred and mandatory after provisional period.
• Registration via BRPT or registry-eligible status per pathways.

Responsibilities

• Patient testing and record scoring are the main functions.
• Aid in decision processes related from patient to patient and when working with non-registered PSGs, trainees and students.
