Job summary

Natchitoches Regional Medical Center is looking for a part-time Polysomnographic Technician to perform sleep disorder tests and data collection. The technician will explain tests and prepare equipment, working under the guidance of a Medical Director. Required qualifications include completion of a sleep technology program and BCLS/ACLS certifications. Job description

Job Type: Part-time
Location: Natchitoches Regional Medical Center
Department: NRMC SLEEP CENTER

The Polysomnographic Technician performs tests and collects data on patients with sleep disorders. Polysomnographic technicians are responsible for giving patients explanations of the impending sleep tests and procedures, preparing equipment for the procedures, recording activities and analyzing results—all while working under the advisement of a Medical Director and/or sleep technologist. Polysomnographic technicians need some polysomnographic training as well as CPR.

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience

1. Successful completion of a sleep technology program, associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or Healthcare Credential (RN, LPN, RT) with a minimum of 546 Clinical experience, that enrolls in the A-STEP Program.
2. BCLS and ACLS certification required.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. RPSGT, CPSGT, RST, or a Respiratory SDS preferred.
2. At least 6 month experience preferred.
