**Details**

+ Department: Sleep Lab

+ Schedule: PRN. Nights. 10-hour shifts. Various days of the week.

+ Hospital: St Vincent Mercy Hospital

+ Location: 1331 South A Street, Elwood, IN

**Responsibilities**

• Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.
• Prepare patient and equipment for testing. Interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
• Perform and document testing. Monitor patients throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve needs or equipment issues.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret, and report sleep study results.
• Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain testing equipment. Determine and report needed repairs or replacements.

**Requirements**

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date; accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• One or more of the following required:
• Cert Polysomnographic Tech credential from BRPT obtained prior to hire or transfer.
• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credential from NBRC obtained prior to hire or transfer.
• Reg Polysomnographic Technologist credential from BRPT obtained prior to hire or transfer.
• Sleep Technician credential from ABSM obtained prior to hire or transfer.
• Education:
• High School diploma with 2 years of experience, or Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience.

**Additional Preferences**

• 1-year experience; must be able to score studies.
• Current BLS/CPR or willing to complete within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to work independently.
