Job summary

The Staff Pad partners with a respected hospital in Helena, MT to recruit a Polysomnographic Technician – Sleep Lab who thrives overnight and seeks to grow in sleep medicine and respiratory support.

You’ll work with physicians to deliver accurate sleep diagnostics, monitor data, adjust respiratory devices, and provide compassionate patient care during overnight testing, with a three-shift schedule, including EEG when needed.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of sleep lab and/or respiratory therapy or related clinical experience preferred.
  • Training or experience in sleep laboratory technology, respiratory therapy, or a related healthcare discipline
  • Certifications: CPR certification required, ACLS preferred, RPSGT credential required, or candidates must be enrolled in/complete approved pathways (A-STEP, END, or sleep tech programs)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct overnight polysomnographic (sleep) studies with precision.
  • Monitor and collect artifact-free diagnostic data.
  • Analyze sleep study results to support diagnosis and planning.
  • Adjust and manage respiratory support devices for patients.
  • Provide compassionate patient care and education during overnight testing.
  • Collaborate with physicians and teams to ensure outcomes.
  • Perform EEGs in conjunction with sleep studies when needed.

The Staff Pad is proud to be partnering with a respected hospital in Helena, MT and we are looking for a Polysomnographic Technician – Sleep Lab who is passionate about healthcare, enjoys working independently overnight, and wants to grow their skills in sleep medicine and respiratory support. Join a collaborative, patient-centered Sleep Lab team where your expertise directly improves lives and makes a meaningful impact every shift.

As a Polysomnographic Technician, you’ll work alongside physicians and clinical specialists to deliver high-quality sleep diagnostics and overnight care for patients experiencing sleep-related disorders.

What You’ll Do

Under the supervision of a licensed physician, you will:

  • Conduct overnight polysomnographic (sleep) studies with precision and attention to detail
  • Monitor and collect high-quality, artifact-free diagnostic data
  • Analyze sleep study results to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Adjust and manage respiratory support devices for patients with suspected sleep-related breathing disorders
  • Provide compassionate patient care and education throughout overnight testing
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure exceptional outcomes
  • Perform EEGs in conjunction with sleep studies when needed
Schedule

Night Shift | Three 12-hour shifts per week. Enjoy a consistent schedule with fewer workdays and more flexibility for work-life balance.

What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience

1–3 years of sleep lab and/or respiratory therapy or a related field clinical experience preferred.

  • Training or experience in sleep laboratory technology, respiratory therapy, or a related healthcare discipline
  • Certifications: CPR certification required, ACLS preferred, RPSGT credential required, or candidates must be actively enrolled in or have successfully completed one of the following approved pathways: A-STEP Online Self-Study Modules, CAAHEP-accredited Sleep Technology program, Electro neurodiagnostic (END) Program, Respiratory Therapy add-on track for Sleep Technology
