Job summary

Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) for our Sleep Center. You will perform overnight sleep studies, monitor patients, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain high-quality signals during diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies.

The role requires a strong patient-care mindset, prior sleep lab experience, and BRPT or RPSGT eligibility with exam plan. Full-time Night shift with a $2.25/hr differential applies.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; graduate of a CAAHEP/CoARC Polysomnography/Respiratory Care program or BRPT STAR program or RPSGT eligibility.
• BRPT registry exam within 6 months if eligible

Responsibilities

• Perform overnight sleep studies and monitor patients during testing.
• Troubleshoot equipment and ensure a safe, comfortable testing environment.
• Set up and maintain equipment, calibrate machines weekly, and prepare labs for testing.

• Department Sleep Lab
• Schedule - Shift - Hours Full Time - Nights - 7P-7A

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) ishiringa Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to join our Sleep Center in Bolivar, MO- someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positivelyimpactevery patient and family we serve.

• Status: Full-time
• WorkShift:Nights
• Hours:7:00pm-7:00am, 72 hours every 2 weeks
• Shift Differential: $2.25/hr. between 11pm and 7am

What Your Day Looks Like: The RPSGT will perform overnight sleep studies, monitor patients throughout testing, troubleshoot equipment, and provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies.

As a Polysomnographic Technician, you will be:

• Performing pre-test set up and maintenance of equipment, supplies, and forms, including performing machine calibrations at the beginning of each week and making sure rooms are clean and welcoming for patients.
• Greeting patients at entry to lab, providing pre-testing instruction and needed demonstration to patients, and answering all questions to patients'satisfaction.
• Preparing patients and applying electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment.
• Monitoring and documenting sleep and physiological data throughout the study, and preparing studies for day-shift RPSGT scoring and physician interpretation as applicable.
• Recognizing and responding appropriately to changes in patients' conditions and sleep-related events.
• Troubleshooting technical issues and maintaining quality signal acquisition.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduationfrom a CAAHEP - or CoARC-accredited Polysomnography/Respiratory Care program, OR completion of a BRPT-approved STAR program, OR RPSGT eligibility with the requirement to successfully pass the BRPT registry exam within 6 months of hire
• Skills/Experience: Previous sleep laboratory and PAP therapy and titration experience required; patient care; troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and communication skills \
• Licensure/Certification: Certified RPSGT by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
• Physical Requirements:Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching; ability to lift, move, transfer equipment weighing up to 50lbs.; stamina throughout 12-hour work shifts
