Polysomnography Technician – Responsibilities

• Independently perform all aspects of diagnostic testing and record scoring of data to ensure a high degree of quality services.
• Help less experienced technologists with tasks as needed or as requested by the Polysomnography Coordinator, Director of Neurology Services, or Medical Director.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) – Required
• Some college coursework in basic science of sleep medicine – Preferred

Work Experience

• 2 years experience in Polysomnography, EEG, or Respiratory Therapy. Other health related experience might qualify – Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BRPT – Registered Polysomnographic Technologist Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) – Required upon hire
