Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 3 years of manufacturing operations experience.
• Experience in medical device or similarly regulated industry.
• Experience with polymer manufacturing technologies (injection molding, extrusions, chemical and polymer processing).
• Working knowledge of statistical methods, six sigma and DOE.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with internal and external teams.
• Ability to travel up to 10% globally.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D to develop, evaluate, and qualify polymer-related components for medical device applications.
• Understand the manufacturing industry to assist with sourcing decisions regarding key suppliers.
• Work with global suppliers to understand processes and ensure quality and reliability across the component life cycle.
• Partner with suppliers and category team to investigate material issues and support value improvements.
• Investigate new and existing technologies to improve quality and reliability of components.
• Execute First Article reports, ensure material regulation compliance, and manage engineering changes for high performance.
• Support patient safety and product quality by following Quality Policy and processes.
