C.J. Hughes Construction is seeking an experienced Fusion Professional to join our natural gas installation crew.

This role requires a highly skilled individual with butt fusion experience of polyethylene pipe, along with capability in mainline fusion, tie-ins, service work, and tapping. The position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing underground natural gas pipelines, performing heavy physical labor, operating fusion equipment, and adhering to safety standards in outdoor

Qualifications

• Experience with fusion of poly pipe.
• Proven mainline fusion and tie-in experience.
• Experience with service work and tapping preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• OSHA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform butt fusion on polyethylene (poly) pipe.
• Proficiency in mainline fusion, tie-ins, service line installations, and tapping.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of underground natural gas pipelines.
• Perform physical labor including digging, lifting, carrying, and handling materials, tools, and equipment.
• Operate fusion equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Follow directions from supervisors and communicate clearly with crew members.
• Maintain strong awareness of safety procedures, especially around heavy equipment.
• Assist with site preparation, pipe handling, and overall crew productivity.
• Adapt to different job sites, schedules, and travel requirements.
• Meet productivity, quality, and safety expectations daily.
