Job summary

ELEVI is seeking a highly experienced software engineer in Maryland who holds a current Poly clearance and a BS in Computer Science or related field. The role requires 12+ years as a SWE on programs of similar scope and complexity, with hands-on work in Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Kafka, and cloud familiarity.

You will develop, maintain, and optimize diverse software systems, review code and tests, and contribute to design decisions, balancing hardware/software trade-offs and reuse of COTS/GOTS.

Qualifications

• Requires a current Poly clearance.
• 12+ years SWE experience in similar programs.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field; substitution allowed with 4 years additional SWE experience.
• Proficient with Java, Spring Boot, Mongo, Kafka; some AWS/ECR familiarity and RKE.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., analytics, large data sets, real-time systems) based upon documented requirements.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provides input to system design, including trade-offs, reuse, COTS/GOTS, and requirements analysis.
