Job summary

Aba - Nashville is seeking Polisher/Stocker Staff to support the service team in a fast-paced Mediterranean restaurant. Responsibilities include polishing and stocking silverware, glassware, and other service utensils, while ensuring clean and organized service stations.

• Must communicate in English to understand and perform job requirements.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a busy restaurant environment.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and handwashing guidelines and procedures.
• Be proficient in using necessary tools and equipment and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends.
• Get along with others and be a team player.
• Transport dirty dishes to bus tub/tray or dish room per restaurant specs.
• Polish and stock silverware, glassware, plateware, and other service utensils.
• Maintain each service station throughout the shift and follow zoning/pars.
• Adhere to all safety, sanitation rules and company policies.
• Operate all necessary tools and equipment and follow employment handbook rules.

POLISHER/STOCKER JOB DESCRIPTION

Polishers-Stockers are responsible for stocking the essential tools needed in assisting the service team and restaurant perform efficiently. Assists with Coffee Person and/or Dishwasher duties as directed. Teamwork, organization and good awareness are necessary for success in this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Communicate in English in order to comprehend and perform/follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
• Perform more than one task at a time, calmly and effectively in an extremely busy and stressful work environment
• Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
• Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
• Be able to stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven and slick surfaces
• Accessibility varies by location

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Be proficient in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
