Our finishing is instrumental to the overall David Yurman design.**Responsibilities*** Capable of independently working on high end intricate pieces such as sold orders and bridal but also able to master techniques on gold and silver mainline product.* Apply requested finish to Design prototypes in requested time frame.* Work closely with the DY Shop Polishing team and Manager to complete a high volume of requests daily.* Ability to propose new techniques on finishing to serve design intent.* Provide input on finishing techniques for production.* Perform quality control on your projects.* Polish, refinish, and clean gold, silver, and platinum repairs.* Maintain organized chemical cabinets in preparation for OSHA inspections.* Follow safety regulations and protocols.**Qualifications*** Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Polisher in a jewelry workshop.* Full understanding of polishing techniques & experienced in rhodium plating.* Ability to apply a variety of satin finishes.* Experienced working as part of a team.* Experienced working with gold, silver, platinum, and precious gemstones.* Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.* Ability to inspect jewelry and identify issues.* Ability to quickly adapt to changes in workflow and reprioritization.* Able to work overtime as business needs arise.* Must have good communication skills.* Must be organized and detail oriented.* Must be highly motivated.**Reporting to**: Manager, Shop Technical Development**Rate**: $33-$37 per hourHourly rate is only one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.**Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at David Yurman**As a company founded by artists, David Yurman champions self-expression in everything we do.
