National Audubon Society is seeking a Government Affairs intern in Washington, DC. This paid internship reports to the Government Affairs Project Manager and involves researching, outreach, and supporting policy priorities. The role is hybrid, requiring in-office Mondays and Tuesdays plus two additional days monthly.

The internship lasts 5.5 months, with a 30-hour work week and a start date of 01/12/2027. Compensation is $19.00 per hour, and interns will interact with staff across policy,

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in political science, public policy, environmental studies, or related field.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Interest in conservation and Audubon mission.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Spanish or another language a bonus.
