Job summary

The Corps Network seeks a full-time Government Relations Manager in Washington, DC to advance its policy and legislative agenda. You will work with the Director of Government Relations to promote member Corps to Congress and federal agencies, expand strategic partnerships, and build grassroots engagement across the network.

Responsibilities include tracking federal legislation, drafting policy materials, coordinating events, and supporting coalition activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education/experience considered.
  • Experience in Congressional and federal government relations with knowledge of legislative/executive processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, research, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with youth and veteran workforce development, public lands/natural resources, and climate resilience.
  • Diplomatic, able to operate in politically sensitive environments.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently under tight deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM systems (Salesforce) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact with Congressional and Agency staff.
  • Track and analyze Congressional legislation, federal regulation, committee hearings, and mark-ups relevant to TCN.
  • Draft legislation, amendments, memos, talking points, and policy recommendations.
  • Support outreach and advocacy strategies in support of policy objectives.
  • Attend in-person and virtual meetings, events, and briefings in Congress and the Federal Government.
  • Develop materials for government relations meetings, advocacy, and communications projects.
  • Coordinate and develop TCN’s annual National Conference, Day of Service, and other events.
  • Identify member needs and research federal grants or regulatory solutions.
