Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years of policy-related experience in a business, political, governmental, legislative or regulatory context such as tourism, e-commerce, housing or tax issues.
• Ability to get up to speed on complex regulatory issues quickly.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, writing, and budgeting skills with proficiency in major computer applications.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with proactive, results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Airbnb’s legislative and public policy objectives; set advocacy priorities and strategies.
• Review legislative language, draft comments, and provide analysis on legislation affecting Airbnb’s priorities.
• Maintain relationships with local, regional, and national offices and allied groups and coalitions.
• Represent Airbnb in meetings with government officials, industry associations, hosts, and other stakeholders.
• Manage consultants and agencies to support campaign plans and ensure timely progress reporting.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to align policy plans with business priorities.
• Monitor legislation and regulatory matters and support policy activities as needed.
