Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP in Sacramento, CA seeks a Policy Analyst to support the firm's government relations team. Responsibilities include tracking legislation, covering hearings, and conducting issue-based research to support client outcomes in legislative, regulatory, and local matters.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, strong writing and research skills, and the ability to engage with clients and officials in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years work experience, including 1 year in government or agency roles.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Fully in office; 5 days a week.

Responsabilités

• Monitor, track, and report legislative and policy developments to senior team members and clients.
• Provide coverage of state legislative and regulatory hearings as needed to meet client needs.
• Produce written communications for internal and external audiences, including concise hearing summaries and client memos under tight deadlines.
• Participate in regular calls with clients and provide real-time updates or background materials.
• Maintain relationships and coordinate meetings for clients with state legislators and government agencies.
• Coordinate andlead Brownstein policy team meetings and engagement efforts for clients.
• Perform other research and duties as required.
