The Office of Commissioner Baker is seeking a Policy Analyst to join its team. The position is one of six within the Office tasked with providing research and advisory support to the Commissioner.
Candidates should be skilled in independently researching complex topics, effectively communicating their findings (oral & written), and managing multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate will also have professional and/or graduate-level education experience in one or multiple industries regulated by the CPUC. The position’s main responsibility is to perform energy policy-related research that informs the Office’s perspectives and positions across emerging and key CPUC-regulated industry topics such as affordability, electrification, and greenhouse gas mitigation. The position will also support the Office in managing its portfolio of assigned proceedings. This requires working across multiple divisions within the California Public Utilities Commission.
The Policy Analyst will report to the Chief of Staff, and work closely with both the Commissioner and the Office’s advisors.
