Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment is seeking a security guard to patrol venue premises, monitor entries, and deter theft or rule violations. You will write incident reports, assist in personal protection, and support recycling efforts during events.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and current active status with local police, with strong communication, judgment, and teamwork skills. The role requires physical fitness to walk, lift 50 lbs+, and operate security equipment.

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; good judgment and teamwork.
• Able to perform duties professionally with independent, policy-based decision making; physical stamina to walk, lift 50 lbs+.

Responsibilities

• Circulate among guests and employees to preserve safety, order and protect venue property.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and others to guard against theft and ensure safety.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as damage, theft, or unauthorized persons.
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure.
• Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals or provide personal protection.
• Support venue recycling efforts before, during and after shows.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent prohibited articles.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and remove violators from premises.

The Role:

Guard, patrol, and/or monitor the venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. May operate metal detector equipment.

Job Functions:

• Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises.
• May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
• Show CARE by participating in venue recycling efforts before, during and after the show.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent experience required. Currently an active member of the local police force, in good standing. Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures. Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs. Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting.
