City of Cincinnati is seeking Police Recruits and Officers.

Initial training at the Academy lasts a minimum of 28 weeks, after which recruits graduate and become Police Officers assigned to a patrol unit to protect life and property, prevent crime, enforce laws and ordinances, arrest violators, make forcible arrests if necessary, investigate incidents, secure evidence, and preserve the peace within an assigned beat.

Qualifications

• Must read, spell, and communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to evaluate potentially volatile situations and deal effectively with people.
• Must follow orders and directives.

Responsabilités

• Enforce laws and ordinances within assigned beat.
• Make arrests and conduct investigations as required.
• Secure evidence and preserve the peace in patrol areas.
