Job summary

The Winchester Police Department is hiring Police Recruits to join our team. Training follows Virginia state curriculums and will blend classroom instruction with hands-on learning and extensive physical fitness activities.

Recruits complete the field training program to become fully certified as law enforcement officers through the Department of Criminal Justice Services. Education must include a high school diploma or GED; applicants must be 21+ and possess a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Possession of a valid and appropriate driver's license.
