Qualifications

• Appropriate experience will substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
• Possession of current, valid Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certification will substitute for required education.

Responsibilities

• Trains for one year to meet Police Officer I qualifications.
• Gathers and preserves evidence, follows up on investigative leads.
• Aids in prosecution by providing evidence admissible in court.
• Reports to the Corporal, Sergeant and/or Chief of Police.
