Qualifications

• Must hold a Florida driver’s license and maintain all departmental/state training and physical abilities requirements.

Responsibilities

• Enforce city and state codes to protect life and property and promote security.
• Patrol assigned shift by vehicle or on foot; observe for violations and respond to dispatches and complaints.
• Issue citations, provide escorts, direct traffic, and investigate crashes.
• Conduct security checks of properties and report unsafe conditions.
• Obtain warrants, make arrests, and maintain related records.
• Assist with investigations, interviews, evidence handling, and court testimony.
• Establish contacts with sources and conduct background checks.
• Maintain logs and prepare detailed reports and files.
• Participate in in-service training and support mutual aid when needed.
