Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

1. Must be a certified law enforcement officer with at least 1 year of experience.
2. Must be certified by the State of Wisconsin or pass the reciprocity examination within 1 year of hire.
3. High school diploma or equivalent.
4. Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
5. Must be a U.S. citizen.
6. Ability to speak and write English.
7. 40 college credits at application; 60 credits before the end of the 5th year of employment from an accredited institution.
8. No felony or domestic violence convictions unless pardoned.
9. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged.
