Position Type: Full Time; Pay Rate: $35.19 / Hour. Candidates must meet North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement certification and possess a High School Diploma or GED, Police ID, VPEC, and Firearm certification.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Active police officer, not retired.
• High School Diploma or GED, Police ID, VPEC, and Firearm certification.
• North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital campus and surrounding property for safety and order.
• Issue traffic and parking citations, apprehend suspects, and conduct arrests.
• Conduct investigations and respond to medical emergencies and fire drills.
• Provide security escorts and assist division heads as needed.

Qualifications:

• Be at least 21 years of age You must be an active police officer not retired
• High School Diploma or GED, Police ID, VPEC, and Firearm certification.
• North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement certification is required.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Attend required periodic training sessions and seminars, maintain required level of proficiency in the use of firearms
• Able to:
  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

Responsibilities:

• Performs general law enforcement duties including patrolling hospital campus, checking property, conducting room searches, maintaining order and public safety.
• Issues traffic and parking citations; apprehends, questions and arrests suspects; collects and preserves evidence; conducts investigations; responds to and assists in all medical emergencies; assists in conducting fire drills and evacuating buildings; provides security escorts for personnel; and chauffeurs division heads and visitors as requested.
• Attends required periodic training sessions and seminars; maintains required level of proficiency in the use of firearms.
• perform other duties as required to meet the client’s needs.
