City of Arlington, Washington seeks law enforcement personnel to maintain public peace and enforce state laws and city ordinances. The role requires BLEA certification and/or prior field training, with patrol by vehicle or on foot and responsive communication with agencies.
Duties include arrests, citations, traffic control, and reporting. Applicants must be 21+, US citizens, and possess a high school diploma or GED; an associate degree in criminal justice is preferred.
Individuals perform assigned law enforcement work necessary to maintain public peace and order, to protect life and property, to prevent crime, to apprehend suspected violators of the law, and otherwise to ensure enforcement of State laws and City ordinances.
Exceptional Entry is distinguished from Entry Level by the requirement of being BLEA (Basic Law Enforcement Academy) certified and/or having some FTO training from another Law Enforcement Agency - Please upload your certification with your application.This position is represented by the Arlington Police Officers Association (APOA).
