The City of Lansing is seeking a Police Officer Certified/Certifiable to enforce laws, conduct investigations, control traffic, issue citations, and support crime prevention programs. Under supervision, you will perform a wide variety of duties in service to the community.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and an associate degree or 24 college credits or 2 years LEA experience or military commitment; out-of-state certified applicants must pass RPTE.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and an Associate Degree preferred, OR completion of 24 college credits, OR 2 years of law enforcement agency experience.
• Out of state certified applicants must pass MCOLES RPTE prior to final job offer.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license; U.S. citizenship; no felonies; able to pass background checks.
