Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring sworn, active police officers to join our private Company Police Force in North Carolina. The role focuses on protecting hospital campuses, enforcing laws, and ensuring safety. Regular hours, with after-hours shifts; competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Position is Full Time with a schedule including day and night shifts. Candidates must meet state certifications and licensing requirements and be prepared for ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age and an active police officer, not retired.
• High School Diploma or GED, Police ID, VPEC and firearm certification.
• North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement certification is required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital campus to maintain order and public safety.
• Issue traffic and parking citations; question and arrest suspects.
• Provide security escorts and assist during emergencies.
• Attend periodic training and maintain firearms proficiency.

$24.80 REGULAR HOURS/$25.36 AFTER HOURS UNTIL SWORN

$34.63 REGULAR HOURS/$35.19 AFTER HOURS ONCE SWORN

Qualifications:

• Be at least 21 years of age You must be an active police officer not retired
• High School Diploma or GED, Police ID, VPEC, and Firearm certification.
• North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement certification is required.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Attend required periodic training sessions and seminars, maintain required level of proficiency in the use of firearms
• Able to:
• Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

Responsibilities:

• Performs general law enforcement duties including patrolling hospital campus, checking property, conducting room searches, maintaining order and public safety.
• Issues traffic and parking citations; apprehends, questions and arrests suspects; collects and preserves evidence; conducts investigations; responds to and assists in all medical emergencies; assists in conducting fire drills and evacuating buildings; provides security escorts for personnel; and chauffeurs division heads and visitors as requested.
• Attends required periodic training sessions and seminars; maintains required level of proficiency in the use of firearms.
• perform other duties as required to meet the client’s needs.
