Job summary

The City of Pilot Knob is seeking a full-time Police Officer to patrol and enforce laws in a small community. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour ($37,440 yearly) with a $500 sign-on bonus and a $500-year-end bonus.

The position includes a 12-hour evening shift with every other weekend off and generous health benefits. Uniforms and equipment are provided, including a duty weapon; 12 paid holidays, two personal days, paid sick time, and five days of vacation after six months.

Qualifications

• Missouri POST certification required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Background check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing city ordinances, state and federal laws.
• Routine patrolling.
• Responding to emergency calls for service.
• Conducting investigations.
• Writing reports.
• Testifying in court.
• Interacting with citizens in a professional manner.
• Enforcing traffic laws.
• Working with other agencies and providing mutual aid.

FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER

The City of Pilot Knob, Mo., population of 750 people, located in Iron County, is accepting applications for the position of full time Police Officer.

• Starting salary is $18.00 per hour / $37,440 a year
• $500 sign on bonus and $500 bonus at the end of first year of employment
• 12 hour evening shift with every other weekend off
• 100 % paid Health Insurance ($1,000 deductible) for Officer, including Dental, Vision and Life Insurance.
• 12 paid holidays, 2 personal days per year, paid sick time
• 5 days paid vacation after 6 months
• Lagers Retirement after 6 months
• City furnishes all uniforms and equipment, including duty weapon
• $150 boot allowance every year
• All training paid by the City (Online or attend classes)

• At least 21 years of age
• Missouri POST Certified
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to pass Background Check
