Job summary

The City of Adel, Iowa, through the Adel Iowa Police Department, is seeking qualified individuals for the Police Officer position. A high school diploma or GED is required and candidates must be able to obtain ILEA certification.

Applicants with law enforcement certification from another state and those who meet Iowa Administrative Code 501-3.8(80B) requirements will be considered. The department offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive starting pay.

Job description

The Adel Iowa Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.High school graduate or GED required.Must be able to obtain ILEA certification.

Possession of law enforcement certification in another state and successful completion of all application and examination requirements as outlined in Iowa Administrative Code 501-3.8(80B).

The Adel Police Department currently has 13 full time sworn officers and 1 civilian position.
