Abilene Christian University is seeking a Campus Safety Officer to patrol ACU campuses and extended properties, respond to calls, and enforce local, state, and federal laws. This role requires a commitment to protecting life and property and supporting the university's mission.
The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Texas Peace Officer TCOLE license. Background checks will be conducted as part of employment, with ACU prioritizing campus safety and compliance.
ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU.
Protection of life and property on the campus and other properties of Abilene Christian University and certain other extended jurisdictional areas, providing for the overall safety of persons and the protection of University and personal property.
Enforcement of all local, State and federal laws on the ACU campus, other ACU properties and other defined jurisdiction areas.
Provide patrol, respond to calls for service, and maintain enforcement of local, State and federal laws off-campus within the extended jurisdictional area provided by annual agreement between the Abilene Police Department and the ACU Police Department.
