Job summary

Port of Seattle seeks a Police Chief to lead the Port of Seattle Police Department, ensuring high-quality law enforcement services across SEA, the Seaport, and Port properties. You will work with executives to develop and fund strategies, direct personnel, budgeting, and operations to sustain safety and continuity of operations.

The ideal candidate has extensive senior law enforcement leadership experience, strong strategic planning abilities, and a commitment to equity and community trust.

Qualifications

• Eight years of senior law enforcement leadership experience.
• Six years of supervisory experience over staff and supervisors.
• Ability to obtain WA Peace Officer Certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead a police agency providing world-class law enforcement services.
• Develop, fund, and execute strategies and service levels.
• Oversee budgeting, personnel, and operational decisions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
• Represent Port of Seattle Police Department publicly and with integrity.
