Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group in Fort Myers, FL is seeking Police & Emergency Vehicle Technicians with strong 12V electrical skills and mechanical aptitude to join a high-performing team.

You will assist lead installers with emergency vehicle builds, remove and reinstall components, install lightbars and interior lighting, and perform basic wiring. Prior shop experience is a plus; EVT or ASE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of 12V electrical systems.
• Experience using hand tools (sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills, impact guns).
• Ability to drill, modify brackets, and follow install procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Experience in a shop setting (vehicle upfit, stereo install, or body shop preferred).
• EVT or ASE certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead installers with emergency vehicle builds.

• Install push bumpers, cages, lightbars, lock boxes, and interior lights.
• Perform basic wiring, including crimping, splicing, and setting light patterns.

What you’ll do:
