Job summary

Ansco & Associates, LLC is seeking an Operator Telecom Pole Anchors to operate anchor trucks and related equipment, install pole anchors and assemble supporting structures across telecom projects.

You will travel to sites, follow engineering specs, maintain safety compliance, inspect equipment, and coordinate with crews. Valid CDL, HS diploma, and the ability to read blueprints are required; prior telecom or utility equipment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience required.
• Valid CDL with acceptable driving record required.
• Experience operating telecom or utility equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints or staking sheets; telecom experience valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate anchor trucks, digger derricks, or hydraulic equipment.
• Install pole anchors and guy wires according to engineering specs.
• Assist with load setup and site prep.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and within regulations.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Support crews with material handling and safety spotting.
• Communicate with team to align on anchor placement.
• Report site conditions or hazards to supervisor.
• Travel to various job sites as needed.
• Participate in safety and equipment training programs.

What you’ll do

• Operate anchor trucks, digger derricks, or hydraulic equipment
• Install pole anchors and guy wires based on engineering specs
• Assist with load setup and site prep
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and within regulations
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with acceptable record
• Experience operating telecom or utility equipment preferred
• Ability to read blueprints or staking sheets, especially valuable if telecom experience is preferred rather than required
• Basic knowledge of soil types, as they may impact anchor depth and installation requirements

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Complete and maintain training, lift between 26 and 55 pounds, perform repetitive or fine hand movements, stand, walk, operate heavy machinery, operate vehicles
• Occasionally: Lift over 75 pounds, bend or stoop repetitively, work alone in remote locations, work with arms above shoulder level
