We’re training the next generation of Point72 investors.

The Point72 Academy Investment Analyst Program for Upcoming Graduates is a paid ten-month training program designed to introduce you to the buy-side and prepare you for a potential career as an analyst at Point72.

We’re looking for current students graduating between December 2026 and July 2027 to join our 2027 classes.

After successfully completing the program, you’ll have the opportunity to join a network of more than 230 Point72 Academy graduates who we have placed at our firm, as of March 2026. If you are successfully placed as an analyst, you will have access to mentorship and professional development resources that can help you progress your career for years to come.

What you’ll do

• Join us to learn the fundamental research and analysis skills needed to become an investment analyst at Point72, applying your intellectual curiosity in a role that prizes creativity, autonomy, and analytical rigor. The program begins in our New York City office with eight months of formal training followed by two months of rotations with Fundamental Equities investment teams or similar roles on our platform. Upon successful completion, you may have the opportunity to join an investing team as a full-time analyst.
• Develop sophisticated company analysis and modeling skills with guidance from our Academy faculty, investment professionals, and professors from some of the world’s leading universities.
• Learn statistics, accounting, financial modeling, data analysis, coding, and more.
• Complete a compliance training curriculum designed to prepare you for an analyst role.
• Apply the skills you’ve developed to real-life situations as you rotate with up to three investing teams.
• Work closely with our investment professionals, gaining firsthand experience and mentorship throughout your rotations.

Upon Successful Graduation: The Analyst Role

• Build and refine sophisticated financial models to help you understand the businesses you cover and how they are changing
• Perform company channel checks; attend industry events; build relationships with sell-side analysts and sales professionals; analyze data sets to develop investment theses – subject to the firm’s compliance policies and procedures
• Constantly develop your skills through coaching from your Portfolio Manager and by using the full breadth of the Professional Development resources available to you
• Conduct yourself with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, ethics, and excellence

Your field of study or major is not a determining factor; we seek individuals who can collaborate effectively, exhibit integrity, possess intellectual curiosity, demonstrate leadership potential, and express a keen interest in the financial markets.

Students should have a high enthusiasm for the financial services industry. Interest in analyzing companies and looking at stocks is recommended given the project-based nature of this program.

Candidates with excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a high degree of self-motivation.

Following submission and review of your case study, the next step is a series of virtual one-on-one interviews with various members of the Academy team, if selected.

The US annual base salary for this role is $125,000 (USD) which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package.
