Job summary

PAGNY is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Podiatry to join the NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health team. The role involves collaborative care with podiatric physicians, surgical staff, and multidisciplinary teams to manage a broad range of foot and ankle conditions.

Responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient care, wound assessments, pre/postoperative evaluations, and patient education on diabetic foot care.

Qualifications

• Current NYS registration and license as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work independently in a hospital setting.
• Experience in podiatry, wound care, vascular or diabetic foot management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with podiatric physicians and surgical teams to treat foot and ankle conditions.
• Evaluate and manage patients in outpatient and inpatient podiatric settings.
• Develop treatment plans with attending physicians.
• Perform wound assessments and bedside procedures.
• Order labs and imaging as needed.
• Provide pre/postoperative patient evaluations.
• Educate patients on diabetic foot care and vascular issues.
• Coordinate inpatient consultations and follow-up care.
