University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation (UW Health) seeks a Medical Assistant for its podiatry team. The role focuses on evaluating and treating foot ailments, delivering compassionate and patient-family centered care, and promoting wellness.

Responsibilities include assisting with foot and ankle conditions, supporting high-quality care, and contributing to a healthful lifestyle and patient education. This is a full-time, day-shift position with standard clinic hours.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Licensure as an LPN.
• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program.
• Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee.
• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated.
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Join our UW Health podiatry team as they evaluate and treat a variety of foot ailments including foot and heel pain, heel spurs, hammer toes, bunions, corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, plantar warts, plantar fasciitis, arthritis and tendinitis.
• Provide the highest quality of care in a compassionate, respectful, patient-family centered environment
• Promote wellness and healthy lifestyles

Education

Accredited medical assistant program

LPN licensure

UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program

Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program

CCMA certification as a UWH employee

UWH MA Apprenticeship Accelerated

CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification

One year of recent Medical Assistant experience

CPR/BLS certification
