Job summary

Balance Health is seeking an Associate Surgical Podiatrist for its Sheridan (and Billings) offices. You will join a growing podiatry practice with four physicians, performing surgery and routine foot care. The team values exceptional bedside manner and high-quality patient outcomes.

The Sheridan site features a modern facility with four treatment rooms and in-office surgical capabilities. Montana or Wyoming license and ABFAS board certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid licensed podiatrist in MT or WY.
• Board certification through ABFAS.
• Strong bedside manner and patient care.
• Experience in surgical podiatry preferred.
• Ability to work in Billings or Sheridan offices.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
• Perform surgical procedures as necessary along with wound care management
• Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle
• Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
• Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques
• Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
• Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
• Maintain medical records for assigned patients

The Foot Care Center is the region’s largest and fastest growing podiatric practice. We are proud to serve the Billings, Montana, and Sheridan, Wyoming communities with two offices in Billings, Montana, and one in Sheridan. Wyoming. Started in 1987, The Foot Care Center is the most innovative practice in the region. We are a busy office of 4 podiatrists, and have an immediate need for 2 additional podiatrists to support our current volume, with plans for continued growth and expansion. The Foot Care Centeris a proud partner of Balance Health, the largest majority podiatrist owned practice in the country and the nation’s premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice.

We are looking for an Associate Surgical Podiatrist in either Billings or Sheridan. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, comfortable performing surgery as well as doing routine care, with a phenomenal bedside manner who treats our patients with exceptional care.

Essential Functions

• Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
• Perform surgical procedures as necessary along with wound care management as needed
• Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
• Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
• Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
• Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
• Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
• Appropriately maintains medical records on assigned patients

• Digital X-ray
• Diagnostic ultrasound
• Digital gait analysis
• CAD orthotic scanning and design
• CAM based in office orthotic lab
• EPAT shock wave therapy
• MLS class IV laser therapy
• MicroVAS electronic therapy
• SWIFT microwave for verruca
• Amniotic treatments for ulcers and musculoskeletal problems

Compensation / Benefits:

• Competitive physician salary program with a base ($150,000 - $175,000) + compensation plan(level depends on applicable experience)
• Benefit eligibility for FT employees working 30+ hours weekly begins first of the month following 30 days of employment.

THE SHERIDAN WYOMING OFFICE

Our 4,500 sq. ft.facility boasts four treatment rooms, an impressive waiting room, in-office surgical suite, conference room, and management office. We’ve been in the stand-alone 8,000 sq. ft. building since 2001.

We are the only podiatry office in town, and we have proudly to served the Sheridan and surrounding communities since 1987.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
• Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of Montana or Wyoming
• Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
• Board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery
• Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
• Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populations
• PC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and EMR database
• Ability to provide legal proof of eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
