Advanced Foot & Ankle Care Centers in Islip and New Hyde Park, NY is seeking a full-time podiatrist to provide comprehensive foot and ankle care across two clinics.

The position emphasizes clinical knowledge, patient-centered care, precise documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team; surgery experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, and epidemiology of medical conditions.
• Develops, implements, and alters plans of care as indicated.
• Provides compassionate patient care and involves families in treatment planning.
• Clinical documentation, coding and billing meet required standards.
• Utilizes EHR for timely documentation and collaboration with the team.
• Works with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Clinical Knowledge

• Utilizes critical thinking to synthesize and analyze collected data
• Develops, implements, and alters the plans of care as indicated
• Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area

Patient Care

• Provides compassionate care, incorporating the patient and family in care planning and treatment across settings
• Serves as an advocate for patients and families in navigating the health care system
• Clinical documentation, including coding and billing, meets all required standards
• Utilization and proficiency of EHR, allowing for timely completion of documentation

• Demonstrates insight into own strengths, limitations, and knowledge deficits, continuously seeking opportunities for clinical advancement and skill attainment
