A fully surgically trained and board-qualified doctor leads the clinic, ensuring high-quality clinical and surgical services. Patients can be seen in the office, through home care visits, or via telehealth, offering flexible care options. The team is committed to delivering comprehensive treatment with a focus on comfort, safety, and long-term foot and ankle health.

Role Description The Podiatrist will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of foot and ankle conditions for a diverse patient population in an on-site setting located in Macomb, MI. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine and complex podiatric examinations, managing acute and chronic conditions, prescribing and overseeing orthotics and other therapeutic interventions, and coordinating care for patients with diabetes and other comorbidities. The role also involves minor and major podiatric procedures, surgical care as appropriate, follow-up visits, and patient education on preventive foot and ankle health. The Podiatrist will document encounters thoroughly, collaborate with clinical staff, and support the practice's commitment to gentle, aesthetic-focused care. This is a full-time position requiring consistent on-site presence and engagement with patients and the care team.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical foundation in Medicine and Podiatry, with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.
  • Knowledge of Biomechanics and Orthotics to assess gait, design or prescribe appropriate devices, and optimize functional outcomes.
  • Experience managing foot and ankle complications related to Diabetes, including wound care, preventive strategies, and patient counseling.
  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution; completion of a recognized podiatric residency program.
  • Board qualification or board certification in podiatric medicine and/or surgery, and eligibility for licensure in the state of Michigan.
  • Proficiency in performing office-based procedures and podiatric surgeries, with a focus on patient comfort and aesthetic outcomes.
  • Effective communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work respectfully with patients from varied backgrounds.
  • Ability to collaborate in a small practice environment, manage time effectively, and use electronic health records accurately.
