Job summary

The MedElite Group is looking for a friendly Podiatrist to join our compassionate team in Houston, Texas. In this part-time role, you'll provide comprehensive foot and leg care to patients in long-term care facilities.

As a vital member of our team, you'll perform examinations, provide treatments for various conditions, and advise patients on overall wellness practices. A Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree and DEA license are required, along with long-term care experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform examinations to diagnose diseases related to feet and legs.
  • Provide treatments for various injuries of the foot and leg.
  • Recommend medications and orthotics to relieve discomfort.
  • Advise patients on foot care and wellness.
  • Request medical tests as necessary.

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Podiatrist to join our team. As a Podiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients in long-term care facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Performed examinations on patients’ legs and feet to identify and diagnose various diseases and conditions.
  • Provide treatment for foot and leg injuries, such as fractures, corns, and calluses.
  • Recommend and prescribe medication for relieving joint pain and suggest foot orthoses to enhance mobility and alleviate discomfort.
  • Offer guidance and advice to patients regarding foot care and overall wellness practices.
  • Request additional medical tests as necessary based on the initial assessments.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree
  • DEA License
  • Long-term care experience
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
