Job Description

Department of Surgery and the Division of Podiatric Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) are recruiting a full‑time podiatric foot and ankle surgeon to join Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians. The successful candidate will provide clinical and surgical care at BIDMC and community‑based clinical care centers of the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) network.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including evaluation, treatment, and postoperative management of foot and ankle conditions.
  • Perform reconstructive hindfoot and rearfoot surgeries with a focus on excellence and patient safety.
  • Engage in on‑call coverage as required.
  • Teach and mentor residents, students, and fellows in clinical and operative skills.
  • Participate in research activities and pursue scholarly endeavors.
Qualifications
  • Completed a CPME‑accredited podiatric residency program.
  • Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
  • Extensive experience in hindfoot reconstructive surgery, including rearfoot and ankle procedures.
  • Demonstrated academic participation, with an expectation of teaching at the local or national level.
  • Academic appointment at Harvard Medical School at the rank of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor commensurate with experience, skills, and scholarly achievements.
Pay & Benefits

Base pay range: $138,800 - $646,300. Compensation may be adjusted based on academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geographic location, anticipated productivity, and full‑time equivalent status. Eligible for performance‑based incentives, including productivity and quality bonuses. Comprehensive benefits include health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a retirement plan with employer contributions.
