As a Podcasting Counselor, you will teach campers how to use audio equipment and editing software while fostering creativity, collaboration, and confidence. Whether campers are interested in storytelling, interviewing, sports talk, or comedy, you’ll help them develop their ideas and produce engaging content. You’ll also ensure a supportive and inclusive environment where every camper feels comfortable expressing themselves.

In addition to leading the podcasting program, you’ll be an active member of the camp community—living in a cabin, building meaningful relationships with campers, and contributing to the fun, energy, and traditions that make Camp Laurel South special.

  • Experience with podcasting, audio production, broadcasting, or related media (teaching experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with recording equipment, microphones, and audio editing software
  • Ability to guide campers through brainstorming, scripting, recording, and editing content
  • Strong creativity and storytelling skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and comfortable working with children of all ages and experience levels
