University of Texas at Austin's Applied Research Laboratories seeks a Research Associate to advance secure, precise positioning, navigation, and timing across SGL programs. You will conduct GNSS research, fuse multi-sensor data, and develop algorithms for contested environments, including spoofing detection and geolocation of interference sources.

The role emphasizes independent work, collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams, publication of results, and potential travel to support field

Formación

• PhD in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
• Experience developing software for scientific applications.
• Experience developing GNSS, radionavigation, or PNT estimation algorithms.
• Demonstrated record of authoring peer-reviewed scientific publications.
• Demonstrated record of presenting scientific content to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Perform GNSS research and software development for SGL.
• Present and publish research internally and externally at meetings and conferences.
• Develop first-principles formulations and algorithms for PNT in degraded environments.
• Create methods to detect GNSS spoofing and jamming and geolocate interference sources.
• Develop state estimators combining GNSS with inertial, visual, radar, or other sensors.
• Plan and execute field data campaigns using SDR, GNSS, and multi-sensor platforms.
• Implement software algorithms in a collaborative environment and document interfaces.
• Provide guidance to other staff and students; contribute to technical leadership.
• Travel to support meetings as needed.
