Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a PMO Coordinator to support the VA Eligibility & Enrollment program. The role focuses on program reporting, administrative coordination, and performance monitoring to provide visibility into activities, risks, and deliverables in a fast-paced IT environment. Remote within the United States.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized with strong communication skills and experience supporting executive-level reporting and multiple priorities in a government IT setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5–8 years of IT program support, project coordination, or PMO experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with multi-priority management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of professional presentations to customers.

  • Establish and standardize program reporting metrics, KPIs, and performance measurement practices.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reports for program health, progress, and risks.
  • Track KPIs like sprint velocity, deployment progress, milestones, and delivery outcomes.
  • Monitor risks and support mitigation planning; track cross-functional dependencies and milestones.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, document minutes, and track action items.

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a PMO Coordinator to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Eligibility & Enrollment (E&E) program. This position will provide program reporting, administrative coordination, and performance monitoring support to ensure visibility into program activities, risks, and deliverables. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of supporting both routine program operations and executive-level reporting in a fast-paced IT environment. This is a fully remote position located within the United States.

Responsibilities

The PMO Coordinator will support program oversight through standardized reporting, administrative coordination, and cross-team collaboration. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing timely and accurate information to program leadership and customers.

  • Establish and standardize program reporting metrics, KPIs, and performance measurement practices.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reports to provide visibility into program health, progress, and risks.
  • Track key performance indicators, including sprint velocity, deployment progress, milestones, and delivery outcomes.
  • Monitor program risks, identify emerging issues, and support mitigation planning.
  • Track cross-functional dependencies, milestones, and integration risks across systems and teams.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting minutes, and track action items through completion.
  • Respond to ad hoc data calls, information requests, and reporting requirements from program leadership and customers.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, briefings, and status updates for customers and senior leadership.
  • Maintain program documentation, reporting artifacts, schedules, and shared resources in Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Support coordination and communication across technical teams, program leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Assist with special projects, process improvements, and other administrative tasks as needed to support program operations.
  • Ensure reporting and program documentation are accurate, organized, and delivered within established deadlines.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Experience in IT program support, project coordination, PMO support, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional presentations and communicate directly with customers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and present data in a clear and meaningful manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, track action items, and follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and organizational levels.

Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) programs or other federal government IT initiatives.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices, including sprint planning, velocity tracking, and deployment cycles.
  • Familiarity with program performance metrics, KPI reporting, and executive dashboards.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint for collaboration, document management, and reporting.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional IT teams and coordinating activities across multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with risk management, milestone tracking, and program performance monitoring.
Posted Salary Range

USD $65,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
