Job summary

Headlight in Southern California is seeking a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for a hybrid, full-time position. You will diagnose, treat, and monitor mental health conditions, providing individual and group therapy while collaborating with a clinical team.

This role offers W-2 employment, a base salary structure with a monthly bonus, and support from executive clinicians to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of experience post licensure in a psychiatric clinical setting.
• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatric Nursing.
• Board Certification via ANCC or AANP.
• Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Active DEA in the state of practice.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency with NextGen EHR and general software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders.
• Work a hybrid model, minimum of 3–4 days per week in office.
• Offer individual and group therapy.
• Prescribe and monitor medications as needed.
• Maintain detailed patient visit records and progress notes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for continuity of care.

Headlight is looking for PMHNPs with their 103 status to join our team in Southern California. This role is full-time with a hybrid schedule that requires 3 days a week in-office.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of 12 months of experience post licensure in a psychiatric clinical setting

• Master's degree in Nursing, with a specialty in Psychiatric Nursing
• Board Certification via ANCC or AANP
• Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (based on clinic location)
• Active DEA in the state your prescribing (based on clinic location)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of mental health and emotional disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) Proficiency: Must have demonstrated experience in utilizing electronic health record systems efficiently to manage patient data, document clinical information, and access patient histories. Familiarity with NextGen is highly desirable.
• Computer Skills: Strong computer literacy with proficiency in a range of software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and troubleshoot common issues.

$152,000 - $210,800 a year

The above compensation represents total compensation. Total compensation is equal to our 103 base salary of $152,000 plus Headlight's monthly billed hour bonus.

Est. Total Yearly Compensation at 25 billed hours- $176,000

Est. Total Yearly Compensation at 27 billed hours- $189, 920

Est. Total Yearly Compensation at 30 billed hours- $210, 800

For non-103 status NPs, the Base Salary is $145,000. The total compensation above reflects the base salary for 103 status of $152,000.
