Job summary

Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists in California is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient private mental health practice. The PMHNP will diagnose, conduct assessments, prescribe medications, and develop integrated treatment plans for psychiatric-mental health conditions in collaboration with psychiatrists, physician assistants, and care coordinators.

Qualifications

• Must hold a California license to practice and NPI.
• Must have full prescription authority and current DEA licensure.
• Minimum of two years' experience as a PMHNP.
• Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and provide ongoing medication management and therapy for new and existing patients.
• Conduct initial in-person and telemedicine psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and monitoring visits.
• Renew and refill medications to prevent lapses in treatment.
• Educate patients on the disease process and preventative practices for acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide education and support to family members involved in the patient’s rehabilitation.
